Hello Reader, These days, everyone is running projects. Whether you are a team leader, EA/PA, event planner, software tester... the list goes on. On Wednesday I'm leading a one-off training session on PM Basics: what to do, how to get started, how to break down the work, and keep everyone happy. If you've got new starters in the team, people you mentor or colleagues who would benefit, please pass the details on! Equally, if you are feeling like it wouldn't hurt to have a quick refresher yourself, then please join me. The training is on 13 November, 7.00 pm UK time (2.00 pm EDT). You will leave the live training knowing:
And you'll get a couple of templates that will help you identify priorities and get everyone on the same page about what work needs to be done so you can kick things off properly (without it feeling like you've got to jump through loads of hoops). It costs $7. Learn more and book your place here:
I hope to see you next week! Elizabeth P.S. If this isn't the right training for you, then Coursera probably has a course that is a better fit. I've done project management, programme management, AI, mentoring and leadership courses via Coursera. Their annual Plus account is 40% until 12 December. |

Hello Reader, I get asked about qualifications and certifications a lot. “Should I do PMP?” “Is PRINCE2 still relevant?” “Do I need Agile certification?” “Will this actually help me get promoted?” If you’re thinking about training or certification, I’ve pulled together my best articles in one place so you can make an informed decision rather than just following whatever’s trending on LinkedIn. Across RebelsGuideToPM.com you’ll find guidance on: How to choose the right qualification for your...
Hello Reader, I sat down with Mike Fesko recently for a podcast episode on how to lead multiple projects without burning out. We talked about: The “Sushi, Spaghetti, Side Dish” model for understanding your workload The hidden, invisible work PMs do that managers don’t see What “social capital” really means for project managers The three productivity saboteurs holding PMs back: perfectionism, indecisiveness and...
