What does 10x productivity actually look like?

Hello Reader,

Everyone in our world is talking about AI productivity gains. The numbers being thrown around are bold: 10x faster, 10x more output, 10x the capacity.

The research I’ve seen suggests real-world productivity gains from AI are often more modest than the headline numbers. So when Creatio named their major platform release the “10x Release”, I wanted to see what they actually mean by it.

That’s one of the reasons I’m tuning in to Creatio’s 10x Release event on July 15.

Creatio is no-code/low-code platform and the 10x release is a significant update to their agentic automation features. This event is a live showcase of what’s possible with AI.

A few things that caught my attention as relevant to projects:

  • Unlimited users, automations, applications, and AI agents on a single platform: if you've seen the recent noise around AI tooling costs and scalability, this offers a different approach -- helping teams cut down on tool sprawl, avoid piling up licenses across different systems, and scale AI-enabled workflows without making things messier
  • AI Studio: build and deploy AI agents across your workflows without writing code (hello, PMO process improvements!)
  • Agentic CRM bringing automation across sales, marketing, and service processes -- we'll need to be including this in project scope for any customer-facing projects
  • Observability and governance tools to monitor and audit AI agent decisions in real time.

That governance piece in particular feels worth your time, especially if you’re in conversations internally about where AI fits into your processes, what projects you need to set up to make it all happen, and who’s accountable when something goes wrong (because as the project manager, that shouldn't be you).

Whether you’re evaluating platforms, making the case internally for AI investment, or just want to see what enterprise-grade agentic automation actually looks like in 2026, this is a useful hour.

I’ll be watching too. If you go, I’d love to know what you make of it.

Best wishes,

Elizabeth

P.S. The event is free, so pop it in your diary! If you can't make it, there will be a replay. And in the interest of transparency: I’ve partnered with Creatio to share this with you.

Hello Reader, You might know that I've been doing this job over 20 years - now my job title is Senior PM but I started out as a Business Change Analyst. Over the years I've tried a lot of different approaches to managing a heavy project workload, lists, systems, tools, frameworks other people swore by, and the truth is that most of them only solved part of the problem, because most of them were designed for a single project rather than the reality of having several running at the same time....

Hello Reader, One way I see people involved in projects in any capacity elevate their careers is by really honing their business analysis skills. As a project manager, I’ve often been in situations where I’ve had to do some business analysis to help get the project through scoping and requirements, even though that’s not my “real” job. I did some BA training earlier in my career, and it’s been hugely useful. Knowing the tools and techniques can help you scope a project and ask the correct...
