Hello Reader, The kids break up from school next week and I think summer brain drain has already started. A quick Google tells me that they have the potential to lose up to 40% of the learning gains made over the school year, over a single summer. Why don't we talk about professional development 'brain drain' for adults? I certainly feel that juggling a full-time job, kids at home, 2 weeks of annual leave and the weather mean that I'm not focusing on my professional development goals at the moment. If you feel like me, then here are 3 podcasts you can listen to over the summer (featuring yours truly and my all time favourite podcaster Cornelius Fichtner) while you do something else, like lounging with ice cream or supervising kids at soft play, to help keep up your skills and critical thinking.
