Hello Reader, The kids break up from school next week and I think summer brain drain has already started. A quick Google tells me that they have the potential to lose up to 40% of the learning gains made over the school year, over a single summer. Why don't we talk about professional development 'brain drain' for adults? I certainly feel that juggling a full-time job, kids at home, 2 weeks of annual leave and the weather mean that I'm not focusing on my professional development goals at the moment.
