Hello Reader, Tomorrow is our masterclass on project prioritization. We will be looking at some simple ways for getting clarity on what is the most important initiative at any given moment, and how you can feed that into your team’s strategic plans. I’ll be honest – this is training aimed at people who don’t have a formal pipeline management process and tools to organize it all for you. If you have a mature PMO and portfolio management software, then you don’t need this class. If you haven’t booked your spot yet, you haven’t got long! It’s tomorrow, 11 February, at 7 pm GMT (UK)/2 pm EST/6 am AEST. Book now Not that I’ve left it to the last minute or anything, but I’m still fiddling with the slides to make sure I can give you something practical, implementable, and with enough substance to help you share the knowledge with your leadership team and colleagues. What would you like to know? What problems are you having with getting visibility of all your projects across a team? Even if you have no interest in coming along, I’d still be keen to know your views. On the agenda so far:
The training is $19 or £14 and includes a few templates to help you implement what you learn and share it with your team. Register here for the training! If you can’t make it live, you can still register and get access to the recording and you’ll also get the slides. Don’t miss your chance to ask me personally any questions you have at the live Q & A session after the training. Let me know if you have any questions, and I hope to see you tomorrow! Best wishes Elizabeth |

Hello Reader, Whether you’re actively job hunting or just quietly wondering what your next step looks like, career progression in project management doesn’t happen by accident. We have to make a plan, move towards it, and take active steps to get what we want... something I've been very bad at recently! I've been thinking about going for a certification, reading about it and making a folder to store my notes in... but not actually doing anything towards it (although does watching a webinar...
Hello Reader, If you’re juggling too many deadlines, too many meetings, and too many “quick questions”, this one’s for you. Project management productivity isn’t about working longer hours. If anything, that's the opposite of what to do, that's the way to burnout and lack of focus. I feel more productive when I'm working deliberately. I’ve pulled together my best articles on productivity, time management, and work–life balance into one place so you can reset how you’re working, if you feel...
Hello Reader, At Project Forum last Tuesday, I attended a talk by James Garner and Yoshi Soornack on AI, because… well, FOMO really. The talk about AI is all over the place and staying up to date is tricky (some stats here about how it's actually being used). Two easy key takeaways for me were: Use AI as a thought partner, in much the same way as you chat about ideas to colleagues, but you can’t offload all cognition. Prescriptive analytics is the next step after predictive analytics – AI can...
